Once no longer the host of The Oprah Winfrey Show, Oprah is even busier. She is now trying to develop a new television channel, Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
Her position was not just a supervisor and consultant. As reported by the Associated Press news agency on Wednesday announced that the party of Oprah’s OWN currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Creative Officer.
Winfrey said she was deliberately dismissed the previous CEO, Christina Norman in May. That’s because the rating OWN very bad.
Held before Oprah, the CEO position temporarily was held by Peter Liguori. He is the Chief Operating Officer of Discovery Communications, a company working with Harpo Productions to develop OWN.
Oprah Winfrey Network to date is still being developed since it was released on January 1, 2011 and for the sake of getting a high rating. This television channel is a combination between Discovery and Winfrey’s Harpo, Inc.
